Structural and Stylistic Editing
- Structural editing focuses on the arrangement and flow of content (logical development of ideas, smooth transitions between paragraphs, etc.).
- Stylistic editing approaches text at the sentence level with the goal of making the language clear and accessible to the reader. By working on sentence structure, word choice, and the way content is presented, the editor can adjust aspects of the text itself that may hinder a reader's understanding of the author's message.
