Terms

Because every document and client has specific needs, I do not publish a rates guide. (Click here to view common industry rates.)

Each project is reviewed in terms of the factors mentioned above.  An hourly rate will generally be quoted based on the desired level of editing, the number of pages (250 words/page), and the time allotted for completion. This quote will describe the scope of the document and the work to be done; it will be valid for 30 days.

Once the project scope, services, and cost are agreed upon, the details will be put into a simple agreement and this will be the basis for the work that follows. Each client will have the opportunity to see and approve of a sample of their work as edited before the entire work is completed. This is an ideal time to make any changes to the level of copyediting requested.

Depending on the length and complexity of the project, I request payment in part once the sample edit has been received by the client with the balance due upon completion. For longer or more extensive projects, payment will be due at intervals throughout the project.

Payment may be made by credit card via PayPal or by company check.
